Offer NWP: the role of the IMARC researcher

The aims of Europol’s internship projects are to:

    • provide interns with unique and first-hand practical experience and knowledge of Europol’s workings, objectives, services and goals in particular and of the European Union institutions in general;
    • provide interns with the opportunity to work in a multicultural and multilinguistic environment, thus contributing to the development of mutual understanding and trust;
    • promote European integration;
    • provide interns with the opportunity to put into practice the knowledge they have acquired during their studies and training;
    • introduce interns to the professional world and its constraints, duties and opportunities.

Selection procedure

Yes:

  • CV, motivation letter
  • Applications for internships shall be judged on merit, on the basis of the published selection criteria, that should include the expected benefit of the project for the candidate.

Certain agreements that need to be respected, such as screening procedures for students and confidentiality of the data, and the like?

Interns shall comply with the rules regarding the obligation of discretion and confidentiality.

Possible start date / end date internship and/or other research collaboration
Internships in Europol are possible and published on a regular basis. Europol can only consider applications that relate to internships published on their website. It will not consider any unsolicited applications. Prospective interns are therefore advised to regularly consult the website so as to be informed about new calls for internships. Internships shall be granted for a minimum period of 3 months and a maximum period of 6 months (40 hours a week).
